It was just announced today  that SD 27 Sen. Ed Lucio is resignaing at the end of the month.

This means that this already very competitie race is going to become very exciting.

As we mentionned already, due to Redistricting the Island has now moved from SD 20 (Juy Hinojosa) to SD 27/

For the first time in over 50 years, if we work really hard, we have a chance to elect a Republican State Senator.

Due to this early resignation, we will vote FIVE times this year for this race.

1. Primaries: March 1  and  Run-off (most likely) : May 24

2. Special Joint Election (Date TBA by Govermor) and Run-Off

3. General Election Day: November 8
